Chicago is a world class city for every kind of dining experience. Luxe has risen to the challenge of creating a quintessential luxury dining experience that is kosher and innovative. The brainchild of Mordy Siegal who reached out to the most talented chefs and hospitality connoisseurs he knew and convinced them to form a dream team. They would offer all the familiar favorites with cutting edge culinary technology that was not widely available to the kosher customer until now.
The Luxe method blends modernist cooking with traditional familiarity. Beginning with personally sourcing every ingredient, the Luxe chef is tirelessly uncompromising with the basics. Then the fun begins. Whether incorporating molecular gastronomy or innovative pastry solutions, the Luxe lab never rests. At this point, a plate artfully designed is presented with only one question remaining. Are there seconds?
Our plates are never boring yet always appealing.
Mordy Siegal is a Chicago native who is passionate about gathering people to celebrate. Whether it's launching a catering service for international conference centers or crafting
memorable fine dining experiences, Mordy is all in. This all began when Mordy realized the kosher consumer in Chicago was being underserved. The kosher hospitality brands he has launched since then have gone a long way to filling that gap.
Now he is launching Luxe Catering, a dream team of chefs he has assembled to provide the finest of dining experiences for the Chicago Jewish community. Luxe Catering is based out of the Ateres Ayala wedding hall, a philanthropic endeavor into which Mordy has thrown himself wholeheartedly. From designing the state of the art kitchen to the nitty gritty construction plans, Mordy has not left any detail unnoticed. Ateres Ayala is heeding the call of the Chicago Jewish community, seeking an affordable yet elegant option to host weddings and events.

Chef Jorge Castanon was born in Cuernavaca, Morelos, Mexico. He discovered his interest for cooking as a teen by helping his mother prepare meals for their family. After coming to the United States, Jorge joined the hospitality
industry as a server. He loved spending time in the kitchen observing the chefs with the desire to be part of their side of the service. While on shift one day, the sous chef didn’t show up and they asked him to help cook. He hopped on the line without missing a beat. Clearly, the time spent watching the cooks paid off.
This experience led to Jorge’s passion for fine cuisine. He has been working to elevate his craft for the past twenty years at several well-known Chicago catering companies including Blue Plate Catering, Limelight Catering, Food for Thought, Stefani Restaurant Group & Capriotti’s Catering.
Jorge enjoys reading classic literature and spending as much time as possible with his family.
